City of Vernon, Florida Announces 2019 General Election For Five Council Members and Mayor, Qualifying Starts On Friday, February 8, 2019

The City of Vernon, Florida has announced that there will be a General Election on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 to elect five Vernon City Council Members and a Mayor.

The terms for all positions will be two years and candidate qualifying will start on Friday, February 8, 2019.  Qualifying ends on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 4PM.

Voter registration will close on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 4PM and registration forms are available at the Vernon, Florida City Hall, located at 2808 Yellow Jacket Drive, Vernon, Florida or at the Washington County, Florida Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 1331 South Boulevard, Suite 900, in Chipley, Florida.

Polls at Vernon City Hall will open on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7AM and remain open until 7PM.

All voting equipment to be used in the upcoming Vernon, Florida City Election Open will be tested and sealed on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 9:30AM at Vernon, Florida City Hall.
