Vernon Celebrates Veterans Day With Dedication of Ball Fields on Monday, November 11, 2019

On Monday, November 11, 2019, the City of Vernon, Florida commemorated Veteran’s Day with a dedication of the Shady Grove Ball Fields on Hwy 79 in Vernon, honoring Alvin Brown, mentor to many upcoming ballplayer in the Vernon area.

Vernon was bedecked with American flags throughout the City, in a patriotic gesture befitting the day, and the dedication was followed by a celebratory luncheon for local veterans, as seen by Paul Goulding Photography, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.
