Hard Freeze Warning Issued For Washington County, Florida and Surrounding Areas

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Hard Freeze Warning for Washington County, Florida and surrounding areas, in effect from Midnight CST to 8AM CST on Friday, January 19.

Temperatures are expected around 20 degrees, especially in low-lying and
sheltered locations.

Expect impact over a prolonged period of sub-freezing temperatures which will
be a danger for pets, livestock and sensitive vegetation.
Exposed water pipes will be at risk of freezing and possibly bursting.

Precautionary and preparedness actions should be taken.

A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
